Tenom Covid patient arrested

Tenom: A Covid-19 positive male teenager who escaped from the Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre at the Sports Complex Hall here was arrested on Tuesday morning.District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Hasan Majid who confirmed the incident here said, based on information, the teenager was successfully detected and arrested behind the Padang Bandaran Keningau grandstand about 11.30am, Tuesday. Hasan said the teenager was admitted to the quarantine centre on Aug 30 after testing positive for Covid-19 and sent for quarantine and treatment until September 10.
“The case has been classified under Section 269 of the Penal Code and Section 22 (b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988,” he said.
