Kota Kinabalu: Zamboanga-base Aleson Shipping Line – the company appointed by the Sabah government to ferry Filipino deportees back home – is ready to organise special voyages for the purpose, but needs approval of the Zamboanga City authorities and Sabah Government.

Describing the Friday protest staged by some 400 Filipino detainees at the Menggatal holding centre as unfortunate, Aleson’s agent Dakota Sdn Bhd assigned to assist in the deportation exercises said the ban on returning Filipinos from Malaysia had yet to be lifted by Zamboanga City.
