Kota Kinabalu: The proposal to raise the statutory limit to 65 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will give sufficient fiscal space for the gradual reopening of the economic sector in Malaysia.
“Although increasing the Federal Statutory Government debt from 60 per cent to 65 per cent of GDP is seen to be a burden, the measure will provide fiscal space to support the reopening of economic/business operations,” Kota Kinabalu Chinese of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) strongly believes.
