DRAINAGE and Irrigation Department staff will step up efforts to maintain a covered drain along a section of Jalan Penampang, while City Hall has called on the management company (MC) for a Luyang commercial centre to do the same for the five-foot way around the property.
This follows concerns expressed separately by a Penampang homeowner and Luyang proprietor about the pedestrian hazards posed by several missing grills on the drain and a damaged concrete slab on the pavement.
