Body of boy, 12, is found

Tuaran: The body of a 12-year -old boy was found by villagers at Sg Padas Batu 60, some 33km from the scene at 4.45pm on Thursday. The victim was believed to have drowned after the boat ferrying him and three others capsized. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Misran Bisara in a statement said the victim was identified as Melvin Junaidi. “The Search and Rescue (SAR) operation will resume on Friday for the second victim, Joseph Sayah, 57,” he said.
On Sept. 22, a 10-year-old and a 50-year-old passenger in a sampan went missing after their boat capsized due to strong current at about 4pm in Kampung Kalandos, a remote village in the Tenom interior district. Two others swam ashore.
