LABUAN: The island which many opine has suffered in business potential due to regressive policies introduced since its declaration as a Federal Territory in 1984 can only be saved from further decline by being made a “special Administration” territory with greater autonomy.Member of Parliament Datuk Rozman Isli said such a move under a high-powered committee, including representation from Sabah, could speed up economic development and dynamism so that it could stand on par with the other two Federal Territories, Kuala Lumpur and Putra Jaya.
