Barge runs aground at Likas Bay shore

The barge was successfully pulled out to sea by a tugboat.
Kota Kinabalu: A barge ran aground at Likas Bay, here, after it was believed to have drifted to shore early Wednesday and was pulled to the open sea using a tugboat around 2.50pm the same day.

According to a source, the empty barge was heading from Sandakan to Miri in Sarawak, but decided to anchor in the bay following Monday’s strong winds and heavy rain.
