Kota Kinabalu: Geng Burung Hantu (GBH), Sabah’s first gaming community platform, was launched Saturday.

Talent Shop Sabah Managing Director Jason Jonathan Omar said GBH is a sub-brand under Talent Shop Sabah.

“Geng Burung Hantu serves as a hub for gamers, streamers, e-sports athletes, gaming video creators, casters and other talents in the e-sports and gaming industry to connect and grow together,” he said in a statement, Saturday.

“The roles of the Geng Burung Hantu and Talent Shop Sabah in this platform include providing job opportunities and collaborations with brands, as well as competitive activities such as e-sports tournaments and series.”

Jason believes that this platform will serve as a stepping stone for Talent Shop Sabah to achieve the agency’s vision – to make Sabah known for great talents. “Products similar to Geng Burung Hantu will be initiated and launched in the future, and platforms that cater to different groups of talents, to bring Talent Shop Sabah closer to its goals,” he said.

The founders of Geng Burung Hantu comprises Talent Shop Sabah’s creative team and platform manager Mohd Danial Syahmi who is also known as “Ryukaziya” in the e-sports industry in Sabah. Jason will oversee the whole growth of the platform as the Director and connect it with brands, offering marketing and advertising, that target specifically towards Sabahans who are tech savvy and often spends a significant amount of time on games.

“My team and I are hopeful and positive that this platform will grow to be a success as Talent Shop Sabah is investing heavily into this product, combined with the pool of talents and experts they have behind it. “I believe that the platform is solid enough to accept members, all that is left is to market and promote this platform for the world to be aware of its existence,” he said.
