LAHAD DATU: A 10-year-old, who was reported missing after he was believed to have been attacked by a crocodile in Sungai Kampung Bakau Lama on Saturday, was found dead with bite marks on his waist and left leg, Sunday.Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station Chief Sumsoa Rashid said the body of Ibrahim Tolento was found floating by villagers at 6.41am, about 700 metres from the scene.ADVERTISEMENT
“The body was found with bite marks, believed to have been attacked by a crocodile, and was handed over to the police for further action,” he said when contacted.
Sumsoa said it was understood that the victim together with his two friends were looking for shrimps under his house to be used as fishing bait before they were suddenly attacked by the crocodile.
“At first, the victim was able to escape but the crocodile attacked again and dragged him into the water,” he said.
