KDCA opens new branch in Ranau

RANAU: Deputy Chief Minister cum Kundasang Assemblyman Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam opened a new branch of the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) at Dewan Kampung Tudan, here, last Sunday.

Dr Joachim, who is also the Ranau KDCA Coordinating Chairman, said opening KDCA branches in the Kundasang area and Ranau district would be continued from time to time. KDCA has more than 500 registered branches in four Administrative Zones and 24 district administrations throughout Sabah including Labuan.

“The purpose of opening a new branch here (Kg. Tudan) is to create a Kadazandusun community that is socio-culturally and economically developed; living proud of its cultural heritage, in line with KDCA’s vision, “he said. “If we don’t help our people, who else? we cannot expect too much from others to help us, ”he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of KDCA Kg. Tudan, Wilfred Francis appreciated KDCA’s efforts and thanked him for the opening of this new branch and hoped that the villagers would continue to benefit from it.

Also present at the ceremony was the Political Secretary to Dr. Joachim, Yubidi Gumpoyo; Wakil Anak Negeri (WAN), Ketua Kampung Tudan, all members of the KDCA Ranau Coordinating Committee (AJK) and also the KDCA Kg.Tudan.
