Sabah's sporadic infections 'too high', Beaufort's highest. 486 new cases today.
Kota Kinabalu: The Sabahan public have been again urged to follow SOPs as  sporadic Covid-19 infections whose carriers are unknown are currently "too high" with Beaufort having the highest rate. Sabah recorded 486 new cases today.

An advisory shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun, further said the public are being reminded daily of the need to comply with health protocols seriously but the high sporadic infections means the virus is spreading easily within the community.

"We don't know who is a carrier and where and when infections will occur. In Kota Kinabalu, 43 percent of new infections are sporadic infections, almost 49 percent in Penampang, 44 percent in Kota Belud and 77 percent in Beaufort.

"Overall in Sabah today, the percentage is 41 percent," said the advisory.

Today's new cases are 27 fewer than yesterday. No new clusters were announced.
