70pc Sabah teens fully vaccinated
Kota Kinabalu: Some 70 per cent of Sabah’s teenage population have been vaccinated as of Nov 26, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“Some 306,502 adolescents have completed both doses of the vaccine so far, which is 70.62 per cent of the teenage population,” he said in a statement, Saturday.

He added that 333,747 adolescents have completed their first dose, which is 76.9 per cent of the teenage population.

The immunisation programme was introduced to teenagers aged 12 to 17 last September, amid the Education Ministry’s move to reopen certain schools in October under Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

With Sabah having moved into Phase Four of the NRP earlier this month, schools in the State were fully reopened on Nov 22, where primaries-one-to-six pupils and forms-one-to-four students returned to face-to-face classes after months of online learning at home.
