Fifth educational institution cluster found in Sabah, 32 cases

Kota Kinabalu: A fifth Covid-19 cluster linked to educational institutions in recent weeks has been found in Sabah according to an update.
The index patient in the Ranau cluster named Debut Timbua was a male teacher found positive in a self-test, said the update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
ADVERTISEMENT Contact tracing found 31 more infected people and among the localities involved were the SMK Timbua teachers' quarters and student hostel as well as the SMA Mohd Ali staff quarters.
Recently, four clusters were found at two schools, a polytechnic and a teachers institute in Sabah.
Meanwhile, 329 new cases were recorded in Sabah today, seven more than yesterday.
