Kota Kinabalu: Pintasan Assemblyman, Fairuz Renddan, called on students to start the new school session with determination to achieve success, while also adhering to the standard operating procedures.

“Children who are about to start the school session, will definitely be

enthusiastic because I am sure they have been missing the school atmosphere, meeting teachers and friends for a long time.

“Let’s not forget that efforts to pursue our ambitions must continue even though the Covid-19 pandemic is not over,” he said in a statement, here, Sunday.

Fairuz, who is also the Sabah Bersatu Armada Head, reminded students and teachers to always be vigilant and not to be careless with the risk of the Covid-19.

“I really hope that we all take care of each other, parents and teachers as well as students, we all keep watch over each other, keep SOPs and always pray that we are protected and kept away from being infected with the Covid-19 virus.

“It will definitely be very disappointing if there is infection cases in schools that will affect the school session later,” added Fairuz.

Fairuz also said that more than 200 students around Kota Belud attended the Back to School free haircut programme organised by the Pintasan State Constituency Office.

“I am very happy because many came to enliven our event and get free haircuts,” he said.

The two-day event had been held since Saturday.
