Elderly man still missing 2 years on

KOTA MARUDU: The Native Court here has ruled that the chance of finding an elderly man who has been missing for two years as impossible.

The Court’s district Chief OKK Elui Majingkin said the elderly man known as Masaah Yandok (pic), 77, was reported missing from his house in Kampung Talantang 1, near here by his eldest child Lerry Masaah, 54, on Jan 17 last year.

According to a letter from the family, tracing efforts have been carried out by the police, fire brigade, Rela and the Civil Defence Force of Malaysia (APM) but to no avail.

After being missing for two years, Elui said Masaah’s family members have given up hope finding him, with no clues on his whereabouts until now.

In light of this, he said the next of kin have referred vital matters concerning Masaah to the Native Court here for further action.
