SANDAKAN: The road construction at Mile 10, here, has caused much inconvenience to the people, said MCA Sandakan Vice Chairman, Chan Boon Thian.He hoped that the Public Works Department (PWD) will put in place a traffic flow control system.

He said the people appreciate the government’s effort but they should have proper planning in terms of construction time, temporary road access and traffic flow control.
“This is a main gateway to all borders, cross-district economical transition road where no work should be conducted during peak hours,” he stressed.
Along the way are also located industrial areas, education hub, residential areas and estates.
Chan personally witnessed the situation of heavy jam for 5km long.

An official complaint also has been forwarded to relevant authority for a better solution.
