Susan briefs Tan and the women entrepreneurs on the Parklane City development in Papar.
Kota Kinabalu: What was acquired in 2010 involving 100 acres in Benoni, Papar owned by the late Kapitan Chen Chee On is becoming a satellite township in Papar.

Of the 100 acres, 40 acres are designated for Benoni Commercial Centre and Benoni Gardens, and the remaining 60 acres for Parklane City and Parklane Villa terrace homes, said WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong.

Papar is also the hometown of Susan’s mother, Datin Seri Chen Si Mui, which is why she has vowed to develop the district with its latest development, Parklane City, that will provide a cinema for the residents here.

“The cinema is expected to open its doors to the public in March next year, with 180 car parks for the convenience of moviegoers. On the other hand, Servay Hypermarket will set up another outlet at Parklane City that spans 38,000 square feet (sq ft).

“Construction of Servay Hypermarket will commence in December this year, and McDonald’s drive-thru will be completed in December 2023,” she said.

Susan said this during a visit of Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) Women Entrepreneur director Tan Siew Ling who led her committee to visit Parklane City developed by WSG Group here on Wednesday. Once completed, she said business operators and residents nearby will enjoy the convenience of shopping and dining within walking distance.

Susan has envisioned the immense business potential of Papar, given its strategic location along the Pan Borneo Highway.

The three-storey shoplots at Parklane City are expected to obtain occupancy certificate by December this year.
