KENINGAU: Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the Federal Government through his Ministry is committed to improving the quality of electricity supply to consumers in Sabah.

He said the Ministry has implemented various efforts to ensure sufficient electricity generation, strengthening the transmission and distribution lines and ensuring the sustainability of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd’s (SESB) operations as utility company in the State.

“Among the efforts undertaken to improve the capacity and quality of electricity supply in Sabah include providing grants amounting to RM2.3 billion and loans of RM1.14 billion under the 11th Malaysia Plan.
