Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's daily Covid-19 caseload kept increasing, almost breaching the 200 mark today, said an update shared by the spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.

Today's 192 cases were 22 more than yesterday's. In five days, daily cases jumped from 76 to 192.

Rising cases in packed urban areas such as Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Sandakan contributed mostly to the state's caseload.

A total of 186 of today's cases were asymptomatic or light infections, while the remaining six were either in the Covid-19 hospital ward, ICU or on ventilator support.
