Kota Kinabalu: A man believed to have attempted suicide by jumping into a river at Jalan Baru in Beaufort was rescued yesterday.

A team from the auxiliary fire brigade rescued the 39-year-old man in the 6.30pm incident, Deasoka reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department rushed a team to the scene after receiving an alert at 6.48pm.

At the scene, they found the man already saved by the volunteer rescuers.
