Hospital now charging fees from day-care patients: MP

SANDAKAN: All hospitals in the State, including the Duchess of Kent Hospital (DOKH) here, are, now charging fees from their day-care patients, including receivers of aid from the Welfare Department.According to Sandakan Member of Parliament, Vivian Wong, the kidney patients using the Hemodialysis Machines at DOKH three times a week are among those affected.
“Under the new ruling, patients aged 60 and above are to pay RM13 per visit while those below 60 pay RM14.
