Penang, 26 August 2022 – Firefly, an airline under Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has recommenced passenger flights to Phuket (HKT) from Penang (PEN) using its newly refreshed Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flight FY3600 departed from Penang for Phuket and arrived at 2.20 PM local time with 134 passengers.The airline will operate four times weekly from Penang (PEN) to Phuket (HKT) and vice versa. The recommencement marked the second international destination for Firefly after Seletar in Singapore last June.

This year, there are 890,000 tourist arrivals to Phuket from all over the world. Thailand also welcomed 560,000 Malaysian tourists from January to August this year.”
