Club to make Sabah Open debut

Kota Kinabalu: Han Loong Taekwondo Club will be making its debut in the seventh edition of the 2022 Sabah Open and Junior Taekwondo Championship organised by the Sabah United Taekwondo Association (Usta) starting today (Thursday) at Sri Putatan Hall.The club was established in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and competed in the International Taekwondo Championship in Kuala Lumpur last month where they managed to win one gold, three silver and six bronze medals.

In a statement released by the club on Wednesday, they are sending 84 athletes for the four-day competition with no target set but will try their very best to win any medal in their first appearance.
They also expressed their gratitude to Nicole Chaw for sponsoring shirts and those who have given their support.
