Beluran workers’ houses razed

BELURAN: A block of wooden workers’ houses at Restoran Nangob Corner, Batu4, Rancangn Mamgos was destroyed in a fire on Thursday night.

According to Beluran Fire and Rescue Station Chief, PPgB Edoen Michael, he rushed to the location as soon as he received an emergency call at 10.53pm.

“Upon arriving at the location, the block of six doors wooden workers’ houses measuring 15 feet by 60 feet was completely destroyed by fire.

“The fire brigade extinguished the embers using a hose stream with water source from the machinery tank,” he explained in a statement.

The operation ended at 1.38am and no casualties were reported.
