“What’s important is that I have nothing to hide, so I am definitely more than ready to cooperate if summoned (by MACC),” he said.
On Monday, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told a press conference that finance ministry officers had confirmed that there were serious breaches in government procedures in the purported expenditure of RM600 billion by Muhyiddin Yassin’s administration.
The next day, it was reported that MACC would call up Tengku Zafrul, Muhyiddin and Khairy Jamaluddin over the alleged expenditure by the Perikatan Nasional-led government.
Muhyiddin had denied any misappropriation of funds in his government’s expenditure, adding that his administration had spent RM530 billion through eight stimulus packages, not RM600 billion as claimed.

He also told Anwar to ask Tengku Zafrul whether there was any embezzlement of the funds, since he served as the finance minister in his Cabinet.
