'Fake' lawyer who reportedly won 26 cases nabbed in Kenya

Kota Kinabalu: A "fake" lawyer who reportedly won all 26 of his cases despite not being certified to practise law has been arrested in Kenya.
The man practising under the name Brian Mwenda has been accused of being an impostor who had stolen the identity of a real lawyer called Brian Mwenda Ntwiga, according to news reports.

Tne man allegedly logged in to the Kenyan Law Society’s portal and tampered with the registration details of a man sharing the same name, before uploading his own picture and claiming to be trained in law.
The society was alerted to the irregularity after the real Brian Mwenda Ntwiga contacted their IT department after he was unable to access his account and realised that some details had been changed.
The suspect, who some clips on X show arguing for a client in a courtroom, has claimed innocence and will reportedly defend himself in court.
