SANDAKAN: Corporate sectors together with the State government continue to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes throughout the month of Ramadan to help the needy.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor said it shows the concern of the corporate and private sectors for the community.

“Such efforts are expected to benefit eligible recipients towards preparing for Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said.

He also called on more private sector, corporations and non-governmental organisations to come forward.

Hajiji said this while officiating at the Ramadan 1445H/2023M Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) in collaboration with Kim Teck Cheong (KTC) Consolidated Berhad at the hall of Sandakan Masjid, here, recently.

The text of Hajiji’s speech was delivered by Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih.

Sandakan is the 11th out of 20 locations planned for the implementation of the CSR programme.

Next stops include Ranau, Tuaran, Kudat, Kota Marudu, Kota Belud, Sepanggar, Sipitang, Keningau, Tenom, Pensiangan and Beaufort.
