“We are also ready to field a candidate if the time comes. Umno is always synonymous with serving the people, so there is no problem with us fielding a candidate,” he told reporters when met at his family’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at his residence here, recently.
Raime said Umno leaders and members from the leadership to the grassroots would go down to the ground during disasters like flood.
“That is why if PRN will be held we are ready to field candidates in our area,” he said.
Raime said Tenom constituency as well as Kemabong and Melalap were once dominated by Barisan Nasional, represented by Umno candidates and BN component parties.
