Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) reaffirmed its commitment to championing the rights of the people of Sabah, staying true to its role as the state’s oldest political party for the past 40 years.

Acting PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said the party remains steadfast in defending the special rights of Sabahans and is dedicated to its multiracial principles.

He made these remarks while officiating the establishment of PBS Darau Division at a ceremony in Sepanggar, attended by some 300 people, including top party leaders and PBS members.

According to Dr. Joachim, beyond advocating for the rights of Sabahans, PBS is also determined to ensure that the state’s development and the well-being of its people are on par with the more developed states in the peninsula.

He also urged PBS Darau members to embrace the Spirit of ‘85, the foundation of the party’s struggle since its inception.
