 Man arrested for Putatan mosque break-ins
PENAMPANG: A 25-year-old local man was arrested for allegedly breaking into four mosques around Putatan, causing an estimated loss of RM2,250.

Penampang police chief Superintendent Sammy Newton said the suspect was detained in front of a hotel in Tuaran following public tip-offs and police surveillance.

During the arrest, police recovered a motorcycle reported stolen in Kota Kinabalu, believed to have been used in the crimes. A search at the suspect’s residence also uncovered burglary tools and cash.

A urine test found the suspect positive for Methamphetamine.
