KOTA KINABALU: The State Government remains committed to preserving and strengthening the State’s rich multicultural heritage through various initiatives, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said this effort is crucial to ensure that cultural treasures continue to thrive, are valued, and passed down to future generations.

Hajiji stressed the need to keep local culture relevant in a changing world, with young people playing a key role as both heirs and guardians of tradition.

He added that safeguarding cultural heritage sustains a community’s identity, values, and customs, urging ethnic associations to continue developing their respective cultures, customs, and languages.
