Time for an anti-bullying law

IT is horrifying to read about the tragic bullying cases as well as non-bullying cases which have also claimed lives in religious schools, of all places.
However, we never hear of such problems in Mission schools. There must be but not that serious or we don’t know because no deaths have resulted. I am glad to be a product of a Mission school where a Brother used to make the rounds, sometimes wielding the cane. Nevertheless, it is not good for the Education Ministry to say that bullying cases are not that alarming at the moment.
A concerned government would enact an Anti-Bullying Act or Social Behaviour Act since the red line has been crossed already – and not once.
