Extend amnesty

THE amnesty to parking offenders offered by City Hall to mark 18th City Day while welcomed should not be for just a day, although later extended by another day in view of the huge turnout.
The fact that some 10,000 turned out should be common sense that the amnesty period should be extended to a week at least.
City Hall should also find out why such a huge number refused or were unable to pay the parking charges.
