NORTH BORNEO NEWS & SABAH TIMES - (Wednesday, November 28, 1962) - KUDAT , Wed. - Townspeople in Kudat are now able to see on the public notice board at the market photographs of Kudat Township as it existed between 20 and 30 years ago , writes the District Officer, Mr. C.H. Wood.
The originals of the photographs were discovered by him in an old office file. Although they were rather faded a Kudat photographer successfully made clear copies of them.
To the post-war viewer the cluster of shops by what is now the traffic island at the junction of Lower Road and Larut Street.

The open space of the then Golf Course into which Little Street now extends , and on which the Police barracks have been built also, provides a fresh realisation of the manner in which Kudat Town has developed.
