TAWAU, Fri. - A young man, Lucas Leong Wing Sang was admonished by Magistrate Mr E.A.C. Pascoe after being convicted of an offence under the Undesirable Publications Ordinance. Leong was found in possession of a proscribed publication which, while not in itself offensive, had been printed by a publisher whose entire publications are banned in North Borneo. Chin Ah Tak, a police supervise, was bound over for one year for failing to comply with the conditions of his supervision.

Talu bin Bakaradin was awarded 14 days additional imprisonment for escaping from the Tawau Prison where he was originally admitted on a term of imprisonment for theft.
