Keningau lass wins International Creative Innovation Idea contest

Jyfreena Ryzza was very happy with the achievement because it was a recognition for her efforts to implement the project even during public holidays and school holidays.
KENINGAU:  Final year student of Keningau Vocational College, Jyfreena Ryzza Yanik won the gold medal at the International Creative Innovation Idea Competition 2024 organised by the academic association MNNF Network for the Virtual, Remote, Live (VRL) education project.

The results of the competition, which were announced via email and on the organizer’s website on  January 31, saw the participation of 488 from several countries other than Malaysia, namely Indonesia, the Philippines, Qatar, Thailand and Yemen.

This VRL project is an internationalization program that consists of several online activities carried out together with teachers and students from other countries, said the College Head of Reseach and Innovation, Dr Sirhajwan Idek here.

He said, it consists of several activities such as masterclasses, cultural exchange program classes, roundtables, conference presentations and chat sessions.

“Many leading teachers at the global level have become trainers for master classes that are held almost every month.

“This program is implemented in collaboration with several scientific bodies including SEAMEO TED which is based in Cambodia and IKSAD which is based in Turkey,” he said.

Dr Sirhajwan said, it has received recognition from SEAMEO VOCTECH which is a Southeast Asian vocational education body that has published this practice as one of the best practices in the region.

Meanwhile, Jyfreena Ryzza was very happy with the achievement because it was a recognition for her efforts to implement the project even during public holidays and school holidays.

The Director of the College, Nordin Akup congratulated this student for her dedication to ensuring that the internationalization program is always implemented consistently.
