All Saints records 98pc STPM passes

All Saints’ Secondary School obtained a STPM passing percentage of 98.7 per cent, which is a 1.93 per cent increase from the year before.

School principal Dr Mary Gambidau announced this at its annual STPM Excellence Awards Ceremony at the school hall.
“On top of that, the school’s 2023 STPM performance recorded a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.77, an increase of 0.18 from 2.59 in 2022,” she said.
She attributed the notable improvement to the dedication and hard work of the students and teachers with support of parents while also thanking the Sabah Education Department, the school’s Board of Management, the Parents-Teachers Association and the SM All Saints and SRK St Agnes Alumni Association.

She hoped the school will continue to maintain its tradition of academic excellence. Nine subjects recorded grade point average improvement, namely, General Studies, Malay Language, History, Geography, Business Studies, Physics, Biology, Mathematics T and Chemistry.
Four subjects displayed 100 per cent passing percentage, Physics, Biology, Visual Arts and Mathematics M.
In addition, four students obtained a remarkable Band 5.0 in the 2023 Session 3 Malaysian University English Test (MUET), an increase from the year before.
“I see teaching as a collaborative effort between students and teachers. Teachers have the responsibility to provide students with knowledge and motivate them to spend time productively.
“Students too have their responsibility to their teachers and their classmates and to themselves by being tolerant, prepared for class and willing to work hard for the betterment of themselves”, said Azzuhri Busu Leman, a Form Six Senior Assistant.

The school also produced a total number of 32 high achievers of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 3.00 above.
Out of these 32 high achievers, 11 students obtained a brilliant CGPA 3.50 above.
