Woman escapes car fire
Kota Kinabalu: A 27-year-old woman escaped unhurt when her Perodua Viva suddenly burst into flames at a parking space of a bank near Karamunsing here, on Monday.It was learnt that the vehicle was parked at the parking lot when its engine caught fire. The fire was put out by a team of firefighters led by Asni Madusin at about 7.26am.

A Myvi car was also reported to have burst into flames at Taman Kingfisher last Friday.

Nobody was reported hurt in the 2.52pm incident, with the fire brought under control by firefighters at about 3.12pm.

In a separate incident, a man sustained slight injuries when the Kembara vehicle he was driving keeled over at a downhill route towards Bukit Padang on Sunday night.

The man was said to be heading towards Luyang from Country Height Apartment when he lost control of the vehicle in his attempt to avoid hitting a pedestrian who suddenly dashed across the road.
