Kota Kinabalu: Another dead elderly local woman in Sabah was found positive for Covid-19, the state’s seventh Covid-19 fatal case, the Ministry of Health announced on Saturday.
The 96-year-old, designated as Malaysia’s case #8,403, died at home and was then taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital I.
The woman was Malaysia’s 120th fatal case. On Thursday, an 85-year-old local woman died also at her home in Keningau before her body was taken to Keningau Hospital where she later tested positive for the disease.
The ministry said Sabah now had 358 cumulative Covid-19 cases in Sabah, up by two from the previous day, part of a 43-case rise nationwide.
One of the new Sabah cases was that of the dead woman, while the other was a migrant worker in Penampang being treated at hospital.
