Jeffrey disputes TYT's assembly dissolution statement
Kota Kinabalu: Star Sabah President Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan has denounced the Head of State's explanation of the Sabah Legislative Assembly dissolution as an attempt to mislead the public and contempt of court as a lawsuit has been filed on the matter.

Tun Juhar Mahiruddin`s statement issued by his Private Secretary Abinan Asli on his behalf is patently false, said Jeffrey (pictured) in a statement.

"Do they also expect the people to believe that the meeting between the TYT, Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin, the PM’s Political Secretary Datuk Nardin and others on the morning on the 29th of July 2020 informing the TYT of Tan Sri Musa Aman’s readiness to have an audience with the TYT to present the 33 statutory declarations and the TYT’s request to see the original copies of the said SDs did not take place?" he said.

Jeffrey claimed it was the TYT who promised to sight the 33 Assembly members' statutory declarations as evidence the following morning, but proceeded to only meet Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal the night before as well as the following morning and proceeded to dissolve the Assembly without keeping his promise.
