PAPAR: The State Government has been urged to consider retaining the posts of Director and Deputy Director of Sabah Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) which are now held by Sabahans.

Former Papar Fishermen Association Chairman Abu Bakar Jamil (pic) said he was made to understand that the posts will be filled by non-Sabahans.

“Just like other states, their state governments reserved both posts for locals…as such, the same approach should be taken by the new State Government,” he said in a statement, Saturday.
