Tuaran: A man who was caught in strong currents while fishing at Sungai Kiulu here has been found drowned at 7.28am, Sunday. The remains of Benjamin Yunus, 47, was found by residents among a stack of bamboo poles on the riverbank near a secondary school about a kilometre from where he was believed to have drowned.

Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said a distress call prompted a search and rescue operation at about 8.27am. Civilians also joined in the search. A total of eight firefighters were deployed to the scene.
