RANAU: The problem of treated water supply here is currently being addressed by the District Water Department due to the damage suffered after the recent flooding of the Liwagu river.State Water Department Director, Edward Lingkapo (pic) when contacted said, the problem of treated water supply to more than 6,000 users is due to the Liwagu river water catchment has been piled up with rocks, sands and woods, causing the main pipeline not to function.ADVERTISEMENT

“We can not determine when the date of the treated water supply will be restored, it is subject to preparation action by the contractor involved,” explained Edward.
Many consumers expect the District Water Department and the State Water Department to solve the problem as soon as possible as water is a basic daily need.
