Kinabatangan now Covid-19 red zone; total red zones 16

Kota Kinabalu: Kinabatangan became a Covid-19 red zone on Thursday, raising Sabah’s red zones to 16, data from the Sabah Health Department showed.
The data issued on Friday indicated Kinabatangan, formerly a yellow zone or district with one to 39 active cases, now had 42 active cases after registering 10 new patients yesterday.

A district is categorised as a red zone or area with a high risk of infection when it has 40 or more active cases.
Tambunan, a yellow zone, is on the brink of becoming a red zone as well with its 39 active cases presently.
