Seven helicopters crashed in Malaysia since 2015

Kuala Lumpur: The incident in Taman Melawati here, today, was the sixth involving helicopters in the last five years.
Following is the chronology of helicopter crashes since 2015:
ADVERTISEMENT April 4, 2015: An AS3655N2 Dauphin (9M-1GB) helicopter crashed in Jalan Sungai Lalang, Kampung Pasir Baru, Semenyih, Selangor, killing five passengers including Rompin MP Tan Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis and pilot Captain Clifford William Fournier.
May 5, 2016: A Eurocopter AS350 crashed in Batang Lupar, near Sebuyau, Sarawak, killing six people including Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Tan Sri Noriah Kasnon, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Muhammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad and Filipino pilot Captain Rudolf Rex Ragas.
Oct 4, 2016: A Nuri helicopter crashed on the rooftop of a building in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Balong, Tawau, Sabah. Fourteen military personnel were injured.
Aug 15, 2018: A Robinson R-66 chopper crashed at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, injuring two pilots.
ADVERTISEMENT Feb 27, 2020: A police helicopter carrying six Air Operation Force personnel crashed at the 14th Battalion Camp of the General Operation Force in Jalan Air Panas, Tawau. All of them survived and only one was injured.
Nov 8, 2020: Two G2CA-type helicopters (9M-HCA & 9M-HCB), carrying two crew members each, collided mid-air during flight training after departing from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang.

One of them (pictured) crashed in Taman Melawati here, killing former navy personnel Mohamed Sabri Baharom, 56, and Mohd Irfan Fikri Mohamed Rawi, 41.
The crew members of another aircraft, Datuk Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, 66, and Tan Chai Eian, 51, survived as their helicopter (9M-HCA) manage to make an emergency landing at a nearby school.
