E-sport champ dies in crash with trailer
Toyota Rav4 driven by the victim rams into the fully loaded 40ft trailer.
Kota Kinabalu: A member of Triple Comma Gaming (TCG) who won the DOTA 2 Kings of Borneo esport event last year was killed in a crash involving a 40ft trailer along the Jalan Lintas-Kepayan flyover on Dec. 3.

Bryan Vun Chen Tsung, 22, was driving a Toyota Rav4 in the midlane when he rammed into the back of a 40ft tractor trailer loaded with bricks driven by a 35-year-old man, which was travelling from Kinarut to Tuaran.

The impact caused the Rav4 to get stuck under the trailer and be dragged 80 meters to the left of the three-lane road.

The tragedy happened at 12.10am in front of Hotel No 5. Bryan died on the spot. The trailer driver, however, was not seen at the scene. He is believed to have gone to the police station to lodge a report.

Firefighters and police removed the trapped body of the victim about 40 minutes later with the help of several towing vehicles.

The doctor at the scene confirmed that the victim died at the scene and the body was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further action. One of the TCG team members, known as Chong, was shocked to hear the news.

The victim was the eldest of two siblings and worked with his father in the air conditioning welding business. Investigating officer Insp Farhana was at the scene.
