Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Rhinos skipper Rawilson Batuil became the first local player signed by Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd as they set to make their maiden appearance as a club side representing the State in the coming Super League 2021 season.
Based on the official Sabah Football Association (Safa) Facebook page, he was understood to have penned the contract on Thursday.

This also put an end to earlier speculation that he may join a rival team for the new season that had triggered outrage among some of the home supporters.

The 26-year-old, who hails from Kota Marudu, has been a mainstay in the Sabah defence since he was given the captain’s armband in 2017 after graduating from the President Cup squad a year earlier.
