Food packages for Labuan Indians

LABUAN: The Hindu Sangam brought cheer to the Indian community here by distributing 100 food packages to Covid-19 stricken households.Hindu Sangam Chairman Datuk Ramasamy Rengasamy said: “Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Dr Santahara Kumar gave the allocation to make the exercise possible.”

Expressing thanks to the minister, Ramasamy said: “The food baskets were distributed based on categories such as Armed Forces personnel, senior citizens, OKUs, single parent, hawkers, those loss job and also covered the muslim and Sikh communities.”
The items comprised of basic food stuff such as rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, noodles, species beverages, face masks and sanitisers gel.
