Kota Kinabalu: The body of a suspected foreigner in her 30s was found with bruises on the face near a rubbish bin behind a hotel in Bandaran Berjaya, Tuesday.
A nearby resident claimed to have heard a woman scream followed by a loud thud on what sounded like something falling on zinc at about 4am on Tuesday, but that he didn’t think much about it.

At 11am the same day, the resident who wished to be known as Bell, 18, said he saw from his second floor window when he returned during lunch time someone digging into the bin and finding a white wallet containing money and cards.

“I woke up because I heard a woman scream followed by what sounded like zinc being pounded but did not suspect anything because I heard the same thud last week
“The only difference at that time was the scream as if she was tortured but I didn’t think much of it and went back to sleep,” he said.
