THE Water Department is monitoring the supply around Papar to ensure that consumers there are receiving tap water.
A Department spokesman said supply to several parts of the district had been intermittent since Sunday due to a problem at the water treatment plant in Mandalipau.

“The raw water intake point for the Emergency Water Supply Scheme (EWSS) facility became clogged with debris,” he said.
“These foreign objects were dislodged by the strong winds and heavy rains which lashed Papar on December 16 and 17.”
